The VI International Cultural Forum opens in Saint Petersburg

Today, the VI International Cultural Forum opens in Saint Petersburg. The main focus will be made on international cultural cooperation. The forum will continue its work until November 18.

On November 18, 2017, within the framework of the Business venue of the VI International Cultural Forum, a Memorandum of Cooperation will be signed between the Argentine Center CEERI and the Russian organization LACRUS.

According to CEERI Vice President, Mariano Mussa, the Memorandum will allow the parties “to promote direct cooperation between organizations, entrepreneurs, investors, professionals and students of Russia and Argentina for joint projects in the sphere of culture, science and new technologies”.

“The St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum is a unique cultural event of an international level. We are very pleased that we have the opportunity to sign an agreement important for us and our partners within the framework of the Forum”, – Oxana Katysheva, Director of LACRUS.

The signing of the document will be accompanied by announcing the results of the first joint cultural project – the CEERI-LACRUS youth contest for the best research article devoted to Russian-Latin American relations.

According to Oxana Katysheva, “LACRUS is a project offering a new format of communications between Latin America (LAC) and Russia (RUS), whose goal is to create an innovative approach to promote cooperation between our continents basing on new communications, pushing boundaries and connecting ideas. Today, in Russian, as well as in Argentine, society there is a significant interest in developing broad international contacts. Therefore, we are ready to work achieving fruitful cooperation with our partners.”

CEERI Representative in Russia and Europe Dr. Gonzalo S. Paz: “Cultural interaction between Latin America and Russia is a way of deeping the knowledge; culture is the language that unites us, but it also faces serious collective challenges. Our cooperation is a fundamental way to build the hope for a better future and the special contribution that Russia and Latin America can make to the global culture.”

In support of their intentions, given that in a few months Russia will host the 2018 FIFA World Cup, LACRUS has invited Oliver Seitz, an international expert in sports management, a football business consultant to the St. Petersburg Cultural Forum, which will share its expert opinion in the framework of the panel discussion “Global Events as a Catalyst of Cultural and Social Life of a Country. Russia on the Threshold of the 2018 Football Warld Championship”, which will be held on November 17, 2017. Oliver Kawase Seitz began his career in 2010 at the Brazilian football club Coritiba, so he is directly familiar with the specifics of organizing major football events. Since September 2016, Oliver Seitz works as the Academic director of the joint Master programme of Johan Cruyff Institute and FC Barcelona in Football Business.
