The third meeting summed up the activities of delegates from Latin America in the panel sessions of the SPIEF-2017.

The business dialogue gathered official representatives of Russia and the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Various aspects of interaction between Russia and the states of the Latin American region, both bilaterally and in a multilateral format, through the EAEU and a number of Latin American integration associations, were under discussion.

Participants noted the interest of the Latin American countries in the EAEU and in the development of closer bilateral cooperation with Russia, particularly in the field of business and investment.

Tatiana Valovaya, Member of the Board – Minister in Charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), pointed out the positive dynamics in relations of the EEC with the countries of the region and described the prospects for cooperation of the EAEU with some integration associations in Latin America, as well as with a number of countries in the region.

The delegates acknowledged the role of Russia in building the space for international dialogue. Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz, Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of the Republic of Cuba, suggested that SPIEF is becoming the most important international economic forum, considering the opportunities that it provides to participants.
